Welcome to Patchy aka Kid Kahuna. Home to Iame X30 kart racer by the name of Josh.
2020 – Josh retired from Honda Cadet in August 2020 and now races for the RS Kart Southern team in Mini X30!
December 2018 – Josh is announced as a Factory driver for Xenon Kart team! Roll on 2019
Josh started his karting career back in Christmas 2015 at the age of seven. He joined the Rye House Cadet Club and learnt all the basics of kart handling, how to take a corner and how to do it quickly! The guys at the track (Rye House) have been pretty damn awesome and have helped him hone his skills over the last 12 months. In May 2016 KK turned eight. Josh really did start to change as a racer. Attending open practice twice a week, his skills and lines improved massively.
October 2016 saw Josh pass his ARKS (Association of Racing Kart School) test and started MSA racing in November 2016. At the same time he joined Cutting Edge Racing (CER) Cadet team… the current Honda Cadet British Champions! and things really started to take off. Under the guidance of his new team Josh has progressed at a superb rate. Of the FIVE races he completed under his MSA ‘Novice’ Licence he won the accolade of TOP NOVICE in three… not bad for an eight year old!
May 2017 and he has finally completed his Novice race licence and time to ‘mix it up’ with the cream of British karting!!!
2018 has seen a superb year. Josh took third in the Championship at Rye House and a massive learning curve throughout racing at Whilton Mill and Shenington. November 2018 – Due to his success throughout 2018, Josh has been officially announced as a Factory driver for the Xenon Kart team!
